FEEDBACK: FILM MAGAZINE COVER

Upon receiving feedback on my film magazine cover, I decided to re-design. This is the new finished film magazine cover:

The feedback said although there were many strengths, it did not look that professional, due to the sizing problems and lack of article information.

UPDATE: TRELLO

Here is a screenshot showing my update on the organisational tool Trello.

CONSTRUCTION: POSTER

Upon feedback given to me, I decided to change the colour of Aaron's coat to a darker grey, almost black. I also moved the slogan.

Jade Foolhea, Photography teacher. Surrey, England.
"I think the poster itself is very nice, well presented, however I would make the coat a darker grey, almost black. Just so its not all grey in the poster and it creates a bit of depth. The slogan also looks a bit out of place, so maybe try and incorporate somewhere."

I agree'd with the points made, so I made Aaron's coat a darker colour and decided to put the slogan in the strip going across the poster. Here is the finished poster:

CONSTRUCTION: QR CODE

I created a QR code for my groups trailer, I did this by using the QR maker website.

I experimented with colours, trying to think what would look best on the posters and fitting the colour scheme of the trailer. With all this in mind, I decided black would be best

CONSTRUCTION: SOUNDTRACK

Other the last few weeks, my group and I have been working intensively on the soundtrack to our film and today finished it.

We created the soundtrack by importing the trailer into Garageband, we then used the different sounds until we were happy with the outcome. We decided to make the music in Garageband as we could import the trailer straight to Garageband, which allowed us to see the trailer as we did the sound. This means the sound can be more specific at certain points in the movie.

The sound did not start at the distribution company (Warp) logo, instead we decided to start the soundtrack at the establishing shot of London and proceed throughout until the end of the trailer. The soundtrack was an important aspect of the trailer as it allows tension to be built and can add suspension to the audience, intriguing them and making them want to go see the film. So we spent a while on soundtrack making sure it created the build up at the right areas and created tension in the places where needed. When working on soundtrack I thought it would be good to layer sounds together, creating a nice melody. However this was quite hard as we need to find sounds that compliment each other, while still going along with the action genre.

RESEARCH: WARP DISTRIBUTIONS

Today it came to my attention that we had our production company Ident, however we did not have our distributor yet. Upon researching this, I decided warp would be my film's best bet, as warp looks at new talent.

Here I learnt about Warp's distribution methods:
